Ken and Sarah are freshly-minted urbanites taking part in the cultural renewal in Newark, New Jersey. Having lived here since 2004, we can attest that the city — like the Garden State itself — is a place of great hope, much heartache, and many paradoxes.
Ken grew up in Long Valley and Hackettstown and went to West Morris Central High School. Afterward, he earned an AAS in computer programming at County College of Morris, and a BA in computer science at Rutgers University. Professionally, Ken uses his extensive technical training to, well, maniuplate spreadsheets for The Man. He’s still trying to find his voice, but thinks it might have something to do with the web. Ken writes about Newark politics and local news at the Daily Newarker.
Sarah (formerly Posegate) was raised in Mount Arlington and went to Roxbury High School. She earned her BS in biology at Cedarville University. Sarah once made a living anesthetizing horses, but now she wrangles toy dogs and feral cats for the rich and famous. The world would be a better place if she could teach you how to properly train your dog.
We attend worship at The Village Church in New York City.
