Baby Twitters

So, Sarah’s been having light contractions this morning. Could be nothing, or could be the big day — not sure yet. :) I’ve put our Twitter feed up front and center, and I’ll be sending updates via my cell. Pretty exciting!

*Update:* Because Kyleen asked, and the initial adrenaline rush has died down a bit, a Twitter is a text message sent to “this website”:http://twitter.com. Actually, technically they call it a Tweet, but whatever. Anyway: that text message gets updated on “my profile page”:http://twitter.com/kenwalker, and we can pull it into this site through some RSS magic. Oh, and, if you _really_ want to-the-minute updates, you can create a Twitter account and make me a “friend.” Then my messages will go straight to your cell phone.

I wonder if we’re the first to ever Twitter a birth…

i think you’re probably the first to twitter a birth, since there hasn’t been any kottke/megnut offspring as of yet.

also. good thing we got those pictures when we did.

Thanks, KPez, for proving that you have to be sassy everywhere, even on the internet. :P

    How are you? :)

Well, look who’s talking about sahhsseey!!! Can we try and stay focused on Baby Walker here? [Visualize my hand in the air, head cocked to one side, and mouth slightly ajar.] If you want we can take this stand off to your blog site or or better yet, my blog site. Heaven knows Peznet needs a little action - CPR would be more like it.

Sarah, I am sending steady contraction vibes your way. They should reach New Jersey by tomorrow morning after you’re good and rested. And since my baby is down for the night, I need to do the same. I will be back first thing in the morning to check the twitter update (well, actually, second thing right after nursing).

Oh, I am just thinking of you three so often. Seeing as how this is exactly what we were going through a year ago I can’t help but be so in awe of what you are soon to experience. Jeremy and I just finished watching the birth tape from Grace’s birth. Tears are filling my eyes as the scents, glimpses, and sounds flood my memory of Grace’s precious first moments in this world… I can’t stop thinking about the scents, glimpses and sounds that lie ahead for you in these next days. May God bless each moment, even these ones of waiting. We are eagerly waiting to meet baby Walker. How amazing is our God?

It’s one thing to say “we’re” pregnant, maybe even “we’ve” got contractions, but it’s another thing to say “we’re” not dialated. That’s some serious one-fleshness going on. I guess I’ll have to stay posted to see who actually delivers the baby:-)

“serious one-fleshness”. Ha. I’m laughing out loud at this series of comments. And totally stoked that Ken is an UberGeek so that we can actually get up-to-date progress reports via phone about the release of the WalkerNano/MicroWalker. * giggle *
