Krissy is so nice :). You should have Krissy on the podcast!

It was cool when Jode was like "Darin, you wanna flip for it?" and Scrap was like "No, why don't yo ugo ahead"... and then the long pause in which I'm certain Jode was thinking "Darin, you wuss... bah! OK, fine :)!"

Art people on here? That'd be sweet. But seriously, where were my fart noise suggestions? O_o... :-P

Krissy, thanks for the feedback. Yeah, there were a lot of pauses in there, I think mostly because we were all a bit caught off-guard how in-depth we were going to get on the subject of small groups.

I might stick with the mostly-interview format. I'd love to pick Scott's brain about discipleship or Alan's about the sustainable urbanization. At some point, we'll look to flip this kind of format for the Village Church and interview members on their art, ministry and work.

Well, just finished dinner during which my husband provided background noise in the form of this podcast. It was so subdued that I think that I'll listen to it tonight to lull myself to sleep.

Next time, I think Jenn should stay on the line. Ken basically moderated and Darin was only slightly more excitable than Jode. It was a bit flat and some of those silent gaps were a little too loooong.

Here are my suggestions to spice it up and shorten as well as fill the time. In addition to a topic, create an agenda that you can consider in advance and have a copy in front of you as a guide. Add someone with a more intense personality to keep it pumpin. Finally, lighten up and laugh a little more - you guys tend to be way serious.

With a little work you could be the new generation White Horse Inn broadcast - I mean podcast. If you set your sights really high you can become The "Reformed" Hour of Power or Focus on the reFormation.
