Oh, my goodness…does this make me miss Friday nights at the ‘ol Poley house…..

Any chance of a reunion in Nebraska, say before 2010? You guys could bring all your kids out, and we could reminisce together, and praise God for His goodness to all of us.

It started slow and got better. I think you need some random sound effects… a fart here, some slide whistles… like when Tommy says “There are couch wii’ers, now!”… maybe stop talking and play the sounds of a babbling brook…

Actually “couch wii’ers” made me laugh cause I thought of a group of 5 year old boys playing *cough* “swords” *cough* onto the sofa…

Scott, thanks. I went back and read the Wikipedia article about Liebeskind:

It also provides a bit more detail on how the design competition morphed into the current plan. Apparently, much of what Libeskind did was set aside in the final result.

FYI, a competition was held for a master plan of the WTC site, which Libeskind won. A master plan doesn’t determine the design or designers of the individual parts, but simply sets the framework. In other words, Libeskind was never meant to design individual buildings (though he thought he should). This link lists the architects for each of the new buildings:

@Mike: yeah, thanks for the reminder to thank the guys from Vessel. I’d thought about Skype, but I’m not sure that everyone I’d invite on would be savvy enough to use a computer-based VOIP solution. You’re right about the quality, though, it really needs some work. Next time I’ll try a headset and see if it’s any better.

May i suggest using Skype (http://www.skype.com) or Gizmo (http://www.gizmoproject.com/) for better sound quality. You sound extremely tinny, and your voice drops out a couple of times to the ‘wtf did he just say?’ levels.

Personally, I’m a fan of Skype and 2.5 lets you do up to 10 people in a conference call (for free).
