I appreciate the post, Ken, and wonder about all that myself (how quite brilliantly I put that!). I can remember being on the Internet, and having to actually pay for each minute I was on-even when writing emails. When AOL came out with the whole concept of writing offline and then just zipping off one minute to send it, that seemed SOOO technoligically amazing! Now, it is just almost boring...

The thought I wanted to send along here, Ken, is that communication is communication. When we used to write letters (people in general, not you and I!) by hand, we wrote because those people were worth the time. When email came upon us, we wrote first because it was novel, and then we eventually spend our time weeding it down to writing to (and about) those relationships that matter. So, we still (despite technology making it easier to communicate) will tend to find the time to build up the relationships that matter.

Perhaps the On the Radar is now dissatisfying to post because it is not building up relationships but rather simply communicating news and the like. Your posts about your life are what draw others truly in, and shine out what the Truth is anyhow.

Besides, Kenny, that is what your heart desires to communicate above all else anyhow...the Truth.
Hugs!

Well there you have it. That pretty much sums up why I don't blog much at all anymore. I'm both hate the freaking internet but I'm quite addicted as well. Sometimes when the band goes on short tours and all the internet access we have in like 10 minutes every three days at some hi-tech wifi rest stop somewhere, I think that it's better that way... I mean, I still pretty much keep all the contact I wanted to to begin with - a check of my Gmail, a check of how bad the Knicks suck, a check of the band's community boards, and a trip to my MySpace and I'm good to go.

But why, oh why, then when I'm home do I incessantly check it every minute? Bah...

Anyways, I'm thinking the old saying 'ignorance is bliss' is quite accurate... though I do miss me a good game of Lord of the Red Dragon (LORD) every now and then... how do I get ye flask anyway?

I think this is a good shift, Ken. I like the list of links that you provide, and I like the information presented and all that I learn from what you post here, but I have to say my very favourite posts are the ones that tell me your stories -- the ones that leave me with a feeling that I know you and Sarah a little better. Now, you could make the argument that the internet, in that way, creates a false sense of relationship and intimacy, but I think that's another issue for another day. So bring on the stories!
