Still Kicking

Ohmygosh, ohmygosh, ohmygosh: I’m 16 again in the gymnasium of Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic church, waiting for my friends to open up their set, talking to Alison Gabel (then, Brown) listening to Every Damn Day.

Here’s to local bands that never die.

Wait a minute… was that the day that the Kidney Thieves headlined? They were good! Wow, blast from the PAST man… *Raises glass to local bands* here here!

Jai–it was! I’d forgotten the name of the headlining band. :) Who else was with us at that show? I actually couldn’t remember if you were singing for Vessel or if it was somebody else…

I do remember that my sister was there, and Jay and Allison, and I think maybe Abbee Hart? :)

It was my first show with vessel, dude. Remember the cowboy hat? They made me take it off. It was flippin’ sweet! I don’t know who was there cause at the time I didn’t know anyone from that area. I think Tommy Shepis was there… And I don’t know if anyone else was playing that night… maybe Gordian Knot? Got me man. Oh man, good times.

Wow. Gordian Knot … haven’t heard that name in a long time. Wonder how all those guys are doing.
