Apparently, MT Textile (I think I’m running 2.0b) didn’t like Ryan’s != in his comment. It took me a while to narrow this down, which is why the site’s been funky since last week. I was using MT Textile for nothing other than formatting my comments with HTML entities (you know: &, —, and all that). It was doing this by making a call to another plugin I have called SmartyPants. So, rather than use MT Textile, I’m using SmartyPants directly–no more ugly site-hanging bug.
