Congratulations Ken & Sarah! Thats a cute lookin’ dog, that is.

A friends band down here has a song called “Run Sasha, Run” – The thought of it was triggered by this post and now I can’t get it out of my head. I blame you.
When I am back up north over the christmas holiday, I have added “meet Sasha” to my list of things to do. Oh, and seeing you guys would be neat too.

Hi Sarah & Ken,
I’m a volunteer at PAWS. I walk dogs on the weekend, and I’m so happy you adopted Sasha. She’s a wonderful dog! The pictures are great! My husband Lee and I have a dog, named Samson. He’s a black lab/golden retriever mix. He’s our little baby and so spoiled. He weighs 117 lbs.

Shannon–thanks for posting. Sash has been great. She’s learned a whole bunch of commands (sit, stay, down, wait, catch it–that last one only works with edible projectiles). She’s a joy with her crate–recently I was able to get her to go in her create merely by using hand signals–and is on a regular schedule with walking and eating.

Sarah and I will be taking her to Top Dog Obedience School http://www.topdog-obedience.com/ to learn some finer points, such as walking properly on a leash and that all-so-important ability to greet new people without toppling them over. Sarah’s even thinking of taking her through agility training–she’s certainly smart enough.
