So, I come to your website, Ken (and Sarah!), and see that Ken has posted another geek entry. But, I think, I really want to read this. I want to understand it. So, I truly concentrate on this blog entry.

I even go the the links to understand it further. I think to myself, I will get this.

I will talk to Jode about these subjects, and he will be impressed that I know about scrum.

When he, and Ken, and Darin sit around my living room discussing scrum, I will be in the know of what they are talking about.

Scrum will be something I understand.

Their language, which has always seemed like a language all it’s own, will be one I can now translate.

I WILL KNOW SCRUM!

And, after reading all of this, there is a truth that emerges, like a dawning of a new day….

I KNOW SQUAT!!!

Have you noticed, any one of you, how blogging in no way guarantees that the subject will remain relevent? I mean, it seems to get off topic quick.

Wait back to “I know squat!”

You see, in the realization that “I know squat”, I unlike Jenn, will make no attempt to read technical blogs. I have discovered early on in marriage that I will NEVER get in on my husband’s Geek conversations. With this I’m content for I have no desire to be a Geek or to impress a Geek… unless of course, it will make me money.

I can understand your feeling, Krissy, that you will NEVER try to understand the geek side of your husband and his friends. However, I do think this might change as time goes on….there is growth in a marriage, and I know that for YEARS I never wanted to understand the geek side of Jode. But, now, after all the years I see of his trying to understand my world of diapers, cleaning, babies, diapers, cooking, diapers, children, cleaning, diapers, teens arguing, and diapers….you get the idea. Jode has gone so far to serve me, I cannot help but be compelled to serve him by trying to enter this world of his, even if only in effort.

That being said, I still know squat. But I am trying, in order to show love back to this guy!

p.s. see what I mean about getting off topic?? lol
